About Rashid

Rashid (راشد) is an AI meeting assistant for the Mac. It listens during a conversation, in Arabic, English or both mixed, and one key gives you a suggestion for what to say next. It works on calls and in the room. What you say is your call.

Status and price

Rashid is not on general release yet. A private beta is opening soon, by invitation, for Macs with Apple silicon, and it is free during the beta. After launch it will be a monthly plan for professionals; the price is not decided yet. Join the waitlist and we will email you when your place opens.

Privacy, in one line

No audio is kept. While you listen, a speech service turns speech into text, and that text stays in memory on your Mac. When you ask for help, and when a meeting ends, the part of the conversation that is needed goes to AI services to write the answer or the notes, with a picture of your screen only if you choose. Your meeting notes stay on your Mac. No ads, no analytics, nothing sold. Read the privacy notice.

Questions

What is Rashid?

Rashid is an AI meeting assistant for the Mac, at rashid.app. It listens to a conversation, in Arabic, English or both mixed, and with one key it suggests what to say next. It works on calls and in meetings in person.

Does Rashid join my calls as a bot?

No. No bot joins your call, and no one has to invite it. Rashid runs on your Mac and hears your microphone and the call’s audio.

Does Rashid work with Zoom, Google Meet or Teams?

It works next to any call app, including Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and FaceTime, because it hears your Mac’s sound. It is not an integration: it is not connected to those apps and needs no account on them.

Does Rashid speak Arabic?

Yes. It follows Arabic, English and the switch between them in the same sentence, and it answers in the language you were asked in.

Does Rashid record my meetings?

No audio is recorded or saved. While you listen, a speech service turns speech into text and keeps neither. The live transcript is held in memory on your Mac and is gone once the meeting’s notes are written. To write an answer or the notes, the conversation text that is needed is sent to AI services. The privacy notice says what and why.

Is Rashid hidden from screen sharing?

No. Rashid does not hide itself from screen sharing, and you should tell the other people in your meeting that you use it.

Is Rashid free?

It is free during the beta. After launch it will be a monthly plan for professionals; the price is not decided yet.

Is Rashid an enterprise product?
